If you've packed it in for the day (that is, if you've given up 
trying to install OS2.0), don't give up completely--work on it 
another day.  It'll be worth it.

The following may or may not apply, but since it happened when I 
upgraded to OS2.0, I'll share it.  With Win98SE, I had an incomplete 
installation of the USB drivers.  So I tried it again.  It seemed to 
take, but I had unpredictable results until I completely uninstalled 
the E-Mu USB drivers and started from scratch, triple checking 
each step of the installation along the way--line by line.

If for some reason you had an incomplete installation and then ran 
the installation program again, that may be part of the problem.
