I have been tring to get this damn eloader to work all day today... I have downloaded eloader 1.1 and downloaded xl7 version 2.0 OS. I got the midi connection correct because I got patch data downloaded onto my computer so I know, MIDI hookup is right. What happened is that I had both versions 1.0 and 1.1 of the elaoder on the computer at the same time and it was not working. I took both of them off and started over again by installing eloader 1.1 on the computer. This helped and got me a little farther to the point that I had "select Downloadable OS file" and "Select MIDI Device" and "Download OS file to target" all in black, I got the XL7 in ready to recieve OS by pressing "power" and "enter" and gettting the message - "searching for OS". So I am ready to rock! And then, "It says, you have chosen to update an EMU XL7, are you sure you want to download the new OS to this device?" I then press Download and this is what I get: A big red hand and the message "Download FAILED" This is really frustraing. I read the readme notes and it talked about the USB drivers and to double check to make sure that the drivers for the xl7 was installed. I checked and I couldnt see them listed in the Device Manager. But, I watched the drivers getting loaded and saw Windows identify and get the drivers for it. I have spent all day today trying to make it work.... tcdave --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "DigiD" <digitaldisbeliever@e...> wrote: > Take a look at the Command Station FAQ in the file section here. realm > did a great job with it. > > Also make sure the midi cables are in the correct in/out.
