I'm going to second the rack sampler advice... Even if you get an ESi you're going to have a better sampler than with the MPC. I don't get it, if you wanted the MPC you should have gotten the Mo phat Keys or the module. And, if you want the Mpc's sampler buy a fully expanded S2000 that costs 1/5 an Mpc... But, hey, its your money. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "my nickname (tag name) is all you need to know" <trez260_2000@y...> wrote: > your advise is greatfully appreciated. saving some money is one my > interested while completing my home studio. however, i've heard the > mpc2000xl and mp-7 combo together, and i simply love what both of > them combine put out. i've been following the mpc series for a > minute and based on the research i've done, as well as seeing the > expandability of it,and hearing it perform, the akai is my personal > preference. the sounds in the mp-7 is just what i want for original > instrumentation, however as far as samples are concerned, and drums. > the mpc also gives me the sound, and options to manipulate the > samples the way i intend to do so. i also like the facts that they > are both desktop units as opposed to rack mount. again these are > just my personal preferances. nothing right or wrong. i do > appreciate the advise and ideas that you have provided me. thank you. > > --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "glennjamison" <glennjamison@h...> wrote: > > I would personally find that combination a little redundant.
