I guess I don't understand why you just can't save the Presets to different locations for each Pattern then? You want to use the same preset, but want to assign different quick edits (effectively making it a new preset BTW) for each Pattern? So save your your "common" Preset (named with different number after it for instance) for each Pattern in a new Preset Location. Example, say you use a Preset called "Lead Line" in three different Patterns (we'll call the Pattern 1, Pattern 2 and Pattern 3 for this example). In each Pattern, edit the preset's name to match the Pattern number. So Pattern 1 would have a Preset called "Lead Line1", Pattern 2 would use a Preset called "Lead Line2", etc.... After you rename each Prest, be sure to save it in a new loaction. By saving the same preset to new User locations with different names, you effectively get three of the same Preset, with the name being the only thing different. Just be sure to update the right track with the new location of the Preset you just renamed and saved as a new Preset, the XL-7 won't do this for you automatically. Then resave the Pattern once you've done that. Now you can go into each Pattern, and make your quick edits to the Preset how you want them, and then resave the Preset with those changes. Just be sure to assign the new Preset location to the track you want, that won't change automatically for you. Make sense? I can try again if it's too confusing. rEalm when I use the same preset in different pattern or songs I don`t know what to to. in different pattern or songs the preset have different quick edits, but I can save this preset to only one location so that I have to remember me the quick edits for each pattern/song because I can`t save it for each pattern seperatly. thats my problem!
