Well, with everyone so keyed up about discontinued products...i ask, what's the big deal? I was worried as well, after buying the yellow screamer, as some bloke at GC told me they were discontinued soon thereafter. But, given the product support still being strong, i really don't care about too much else. And my initial worries are all but gone. We should just enjoy making music with it, as it is really a tool. Most tools come and go, that's the nature of the industry. How long it exist in your arsenal is individual. As for the new PX- 7, it is the new paint, minor revision of labeling--on the top side of the 'start' , 'stop', 'record', and 'tap' buttons. With X-mix, Loop, Replace, Copy, and new rom chip. It's anyones guess whether or not there will a 'new' XL-7 with revisions as well. It really doesn't matter to me that mine is yellow, but it will be either a sky blue metallic or laminated with a super thin carbon fibre sheet(absolutely WICKED!), in the future. I say, don't worry about future gear. Enjoy using what you got. I don't have much, but i love the act of using what i DO have, to make music, no matter how pissy some of my gear can get. Don't see myself 'outgrowing' my yellow beast for some time. Peace out you lot.
