Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Many people are asking about the XL-7 $399.99 price, and wondering 
why I said it is discontinued. Here's the details.

I bought the last one from the Kirkland, WA store. Phone number 425-
814-9640. I also tried the Seattle, WA store: 206-287-9100. Both 
stores claim it was discontinued. But again, I shared my opinion on 
that in another post.

Both were sold out after I bought mine, but if you call them, they 
may know other stores either in or out of the area that have it.

I tried to pricematch through SameDayMusic and they had this to 
say: "GC does not have these in stock anymore and they are 
discontinued."

The price in store is $449.99, and there is a $50 rebate coupon. I'd 
be willing to upload a copy of the coupon, but I'd need a place to 
put it. Also, I still have the paper catalog from GC showing the 
price, but I'd have to scan that too and upload it somewhere -- but I 
am willing. Maybe that will help with your pricematching. Anyone have 
a public FTP site that other members of this group would have access 
to?

Regarding the ROMs at half price, ask for Frank in sales. I suppose 
it might have been a fluke, and I do hope they don't cancel my order 
due to your call.

Finally, regarding MIDIQuest, I don't recommend that product, at 
least on the PC. If you are pondering a sale and are willing for me 
to write an OT rant about it, I will cc a post that I put on Usenet 
last month.
