I don't like the yamaha digital mixer series. The preamps and DAC are mediocre at best, at least in the 01V - 03V line. Even when A/Bing it with my mackie, there was no question which sounded better; I put mine up for sale the next day.

    Yamaha has a good reputation for mixers as well, and the MG10/2 
  arrives soon. I'll post a review on it once mine arrives, but it's a 
  10-channel mixer with EQ for ~$100. Hard to beat that if it sounds 
  decent!
