This is *not* supposed to happen. In fact, this is exactly what the Flash Prep step in the update process was designed for - we developed a whole piece of code just to avoid this. It worked for me. It worked for Aaron. It worked for our Beta testers. Something has unexpectedly gone terribly wrong if it erased your data, and we need to figure out exactly how that happened. I will state again to all listening, and *please* no one take this personally - it is important to ALWAYS BACK UP ANY IMPORTANT DATA. Stuff happens. Again, it was our explicit goal to avoid this. Something went wrong. We deeply regret this happened. We or course will be looking for answers. Any help in tracking this down is appreciated. Thanks, Scott
