here are some replies after updating to 1.17:

scott: "Updating will not erase *any* of your data."

- oh yes, it does (sequences & sounds erased completely). as i expected.

scott: " Event Editing, Local On/Off, Input Rechannelize are
all there plus a lot more."

- i couldn\ufffdt find any difference to 1.01 in step- or grid-mode. i still
don\ufffdt see a proper event-listing, including note-name/and or cc-nr., length
& velocity, etc. did i miss something ?

scott: "Note we never said that USB support was going to be in this
release."

- sorry - not true. you and sean did several times.
one example: "USB Pattern and Song Upload/Download from your computer using
E-Loader" (from: Projected 1.17 Feature List For XL/MP-7 Command Stations,
message by sean, oct.30th)
but i certainly accept that things sometimes get more difficult than you
expected.
