I finally received my case for my MP-7. We had a thread going in December
about cases and I promised to post a message when I got it. I decided to
wait
until NAMM to check out various manufacturers. I was very impressed with
Modern Case Companies products. It took an unreasonable amount of time
but I am very happy with the case. About 3 months from the time I
submitted
the drawings. They tell me normal turn around is three weeks but they got
slammed with some big orders at NAMM.
Cost was $105 + shipping($4.50 for shipping was very reasonable). I went
for
the more expensive model, the "Ultra Lite" with the hard plastic
protection.
Overall it's 4 layers. From outside in it's Canvas, Hard plastic (aprox
1/16"
thick,) Hard foam, then soft foam. It's very lightweight. It has actual
hinges with
a 1/4" Piece of wood on the backside supporting the hinges and a large
outside pocket. I was leaning towards an inside compartment but they
didn't
respond well to anything more than just a box. I ordered three cases in
all and
the one with the extra compartment for my HPD-15 has not arrived. I put a
photo in the files for everyone to see. I have a couple other photos if
anyone is
interested in seeing exactly what it looks like including a photo of it
shut and a
close-up of the construction and hinge. Email me directly if you'd like
those
photos
Modern case has the template now so it should be easy to order if anyone
wants one.

The padded gig bag was quoted at $85 but IMHO, it's worth the extra few $$

for the Ultra lite series. Just don't be in a hurry for delivery!
The photo file is big so rEalm, feel free to toast it whenever you like.
