Re: [xl7] purchasing a xl7 - latest prices

2003-05-02 by Mark Pipher

At these latest prices, I don't know why anyone WOULDN'T run out to buy one
of these. I think you would be very happy. I could have bought two and a ROM
for what I paid.

i do not have a xl7, but i am thinking about purchasing one. my local
music
store doesnt have one for me to play with, or anyone to answer my questios.
so i figured why not talk to people who actualy use it. i will be both
performing
live with it, and in a studio enviroment as well. it looks great for in the
studio,
but is it a good live tool as well(i love ribbon controllers).? i am also
looking
for something to control all of my other instuments as well. i would like
to be
able to have a master sequencer, that tell all my other slave sequencers
when
to play. i would also like to be albe to trigger additional drum boxes and
keyboard. can the xl-7 do it? and how are the waveforms? the expansion
roms? i do electro and techno. i've never owned an emu product before, so
i
dont know how good there sound engines are. is the sampler easy to use?

i know that was alot of questions, but i just cant find the info i want on
this box.
thanx!
