Just set up a blank MIDI track, make sure that the option to filter sysex
data is off in your preferences, then start recording on the MIDI track.
After you start recording, send the sysex from the XX-7 and wait until
it's done. That's it. I agree, E-Loading Presets would be ideal, but I
don't see that happening in the future, so we just need to make do with
what we have until someone else write's a librarian program...

Subject: [xl7] BACKING UP PRESETS
So what do you have to do in Cubase or DP3 to save the sysex data that you
send. I have now clue how to do this. I know how to tell the mp7 to send
it
but then where does it go? I know I sound like a moron but I serioulsy
need
to figure out how to do this. I serched the archives but didn't find
anything that tells how to do it.
Thanks
