Better yet, if you set the two bar count in to the "note" symbol, you can now press Play+Record to enter Replace Record mode. Recoding will start when you play the first note, and stop AUTOMATICALLY at the end of the 8th measure in you case. That way you don't have to worry about trying to time your playing to end precisely. rEalm Turn the metronome on if you don't have a drum track already in place. Set count-in to either one bar (4 beats) or two bars (eight). Begin playing after the count-in. Or, assuming you have software 2.0, you could scroll past he two bar choice and set it to "first note record" - a single note icon indicates that option. The recording will begin when you hit the first note. Play freely until the end of the eighth measure. No need to stop the sequencer exactly at 8.4. If you have the pattern length set to eight bars just be sure to stop playing before bar one begins again. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
