Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Dear Sir,

Hello how are you ? I hope all  is well at  your end.

We had received  EMU new P2500  Module.

The  setup config.:  P2500   o.s. ver 1.31.
P2500 MIDI IN  and OUT  going  to the  Keyboard  XP60  MIDI  OUT  and 
 IN ( Speakers  connected to headphones of the P2500 module  ) and we 
tried the other way also  P2500  MIDI  IN   goint to  XP60 MIDI  OUT.
P2500 is in  Preset mode.

We checked the sound output from the P2500 module   through the AUDITION 
 button  and it was playing fine without any problem.
After connecting the Keyboard XP60  to the P2500 module (XP60  MIDI OUT 
  -   P2500 MIDI   IN  ), and while playing the  keyboard there is no 
sound output from the P2500 module.
But we can get sound output from the P2500 itself  by presssing the 
audiotion button  only .

Why is it that we can get the sound output from  P2500 while pressing  
the audition  button., and not from the keyboard xp60     ( MIDI out of 
xp60 keyboard  going to midi in to P2500 module).

We also did the multisetup restore( factory setup)  command in the 
global menu but still the problem persists.

Is there any setting  which we are overlooking.

Thinking that the o.s. might be the problem.We tried to upgrade the 
P2500 o.s. ver from 1.31  to  1.32 and  2.0,but no luck we could not 
upgrade the P2500 module.

 The computer setup :
P2 computer,O.S. ver Win 98 se  ,128 mb ram ,4 gb hard disk,MTP AV USB 
installed and configured on to the computer. MIDI  IN-1  and 1- OUT of 
 MTP AV USB  going to  MIDI  OUT  and MIDI IN of the P2500 .

The P2500 was set to " O.S . receiving  mode " .
We launched the E-loader 1.1 under file selection selected the 
downloadable o.s file 2.0 (command200.dli) ,
Selected the midi device INPUT  1  and OUTPUT  1 port  , SysEx device 
 ID : 0  also tried with different ID's
Under DOWNLOAD  the  Download OS  File to Target is not  Highlighted ,so 
we cannot select this particular  option.
Just below the Download OS  File to Target .  under  Status:waiting for 
download request ,No file selected ,no target selected. is highlighted.

We have selected the download request o.s ver 2.0 and also target device 
selection midi in 1  and midi out 1 ,inspite of this  under status : it 
still showing  :  waiting for download request ,No file selected ,no 
target selected.
Why is it so ,are we missing something  ,please let us know .

We also tried upgrading the P2500 o.s. to 2.0 , through  o.s downloader 
1.0 ,and after selecting the o.s. file and midi target device,and when I 
press the install  ,it give and error saying midi target request not 
selected check your midi and out of the interface ,though  MIDI IN  and 
OUT  of MTP AV USB  is connected to  MIDI OUT  and MIDI IN  to P2500 module

Your help is needed urgently.
