> 1.how do I assign sounds I want to use to pads???? I've found the best way to do that right now would be to use the 16 B MIDI Channels and hit notes with the trigger buttons. I also assign a good portion of the Programmable knobs to cc:7 for the B channels i wanna use as pads. > 2.if I put effects on a sound how can I save (or) just put it on a pad to put in my song??? FX are a weird topic on the command stations right now. The layout for them could use some work. You CAN save FX per preset, but the FX engine of the command station can only process one FX preset at a time, so in a typical pattern with 16 presets, only one can be active at a time. This can cause problems. I've come to the conclusion that my 16B midi channel will be my "master" FX channel in each pattern i have. I just save a separate preset w/ FX settings per pattern and use the FX on a global level. This way I can just flip over to 16B and use the Quick edit knobs to do FX in realtime. > 3. how do i make multiple patterns(for bridges, beatdrops, chorus etc.) to compose a song so it wont just sound like a long dragged out loop??? Idealy? Wait for OS 2.0 to come out in a couple weeks and use the X- MIX feature. But for now just try to maximize the data on each track, and get as much play from each one as possible. FX and filter sweeps are good for transitions and stuff. Also, get used to the the cut/copy paste feature. > 4.if I mess up on a track(sequence)that I recorded how do I erase that track so I can do it over. Easy one. When in Real-time record mode, just hold down the erase button and hit one of the 16 track buttons. This will automatically erase it. The best feature of 1.32 IMO. sapo
