Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

ok, needs some help here with using my XL-7 as a controller. WHat I 
am trying to do is put my sequences from my XL-7 to another sequencer 
(Rm1x). I have the midi out of the XL-7 linked to my midi In on the 
Rm1x.

On both machines I have the tempo set exactly the same, also the 
Length of the patterns are the same, and the measures (4/4).

I am only trying to transfer 1 sequence one at a time, simple enough.
On track 1 of the EMu I have a simple kick drum sequence, in grid 
mode I have the kick  hitting on 1 4 7 9 12 15 
on each Bar.

On the rm1x I set it to record.

I press play on the Emu and it is now recording.
I finish recording, and on the Rm1x I go into step record mode to 
make sure the notes landed properly.

It should be on 1 4 7 9 12 15 on each measure (bar).
 But it's not.

It landed on 1 on the first measure (correctly), but the rest of the 
way through it lands on 2 5 10 13 16, and not only that, but it lands 
on half notes. It doesn't land on whole notes like it should.

At first I thought it was the Rm1x, but it's not. I know because I 
tested this using a drum machine instead of the Emu, doing it the 
exact same way.

And when using the drum machine the kick lands exactly where it 
should.

I tested this repeatedly using the EMu, and the Drum Machine, and 
with the Emu it never lands on, but on the Drum Machine it does.

If someone could please explain this please post it here. Thanks a 
lot for any help and tips.
