How about just making the sounds you're after? The XL-7 has more than
enough base waveforms that will suit what you're trying to do, you just
need to dive in and start programming...

Subject: [xl7] Hmm so a good sound source compliment to the XL7?
So i've bought the XL7, and am not happy with the sound set. I am
with the sequencer and effects. This box is loaded and peforms well
as nerve center of a studio. But I'm shooting to more of a ambient
dark soundscape trancey feel. I love pads, lots of them. I am
considering getting a Triton LE, I have played those in a store and
like them. But then again, i'm just paying for another sequencer and
so forth. I'm wondering if perhaps there is something in the middle
i'm missing? A module or synth sans a sequencer that will give what I
seek?
What about the Orbit ROMs? any good for that?
Hmm.. Thanks in advance
