Yeah, I figured that was true, so I closed Cubase, waited a few minutes and tried it again. Still didn't work. If I either run an audio app that requires the MIDI port, or run E- Laoder once previously, I need to restart my computer in order to run it again. Kind of a pain when you want to upload a file to Cubase to edit a small part for instance and then downlaod it back into the XL.... realm You are bound to have problems if you have two MIDI programs open at the same time trying to access the same ports. You just can't do that in Windows, unless you use Hubi's Loopback or some other special software. Is that what you are doing?
