I hope everyone takes a good long look at this post. Read it again. While I'm not trying to say the XX-7's are prone to crash, it does point out the very important need to ALWAYS back up your data, no matter what gear you're using (and especially with computers). Personally, everytime I get done working on my XL-7, I fire up E-Loader real quick and save any work I've done, then save my Presets to SX (via midi dump, would be nice to have "Dump all User Presets" option though). Yeah, it can be a pain, but you never know when something unexpected can happen. Would you rather spend a minute backing up your files, or weeks cursing when you wish you would have? Sorry about your loss bro, I've done that before too when I first got my mc505 many moons ago, so I know how gut-wrenching it can be. Look at it this way, at least now you know the XX-7 better than you did when you started, so you have all the free space to fill up with even better Pattern and Songs. rEalm Make sure you are backing up your patterns! My MP7 crashed last night and I lost ALL OF MY USER PATTERNS and ALL of the factory patterns, not that I care about those, but I do care about the 6 months worth of material that I was only able to recover part of.
