Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I'm considering extending my faboulous XL-7 with both Techno synth 
and Beat Garden ROM, because they sounded great on the mp3 files on 
the site of Rob Papen.
Has someone experience with both of these ROM? Since they are both 
created by the same person, do they not contain the same samples and 
sound and will I therefore not spent two times the money on the same 
thing?

PS: Additional question for rEalm: Do these ROM ship with some 
additional patchcords? Will they have another colour to make them 
more distinct?
