Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Just wondering, is anyone here using their MP-7 with an MPC2000XL?
Yes, I know the 7's sequencer is great, but not being able to make 
custom drumkits is starting to erk me. It seems as if I might have to 
drop some money on an MPC. Being able to load 4 banks of sounds on 
those 16 pads is making me drool.  

Also, if anyone here has MPC experience, how is the sampling? My real 
goal was to get a sampler next(an EMU one), but if I can kill to 
birds with one stone, I can go the MPC route and get way more than 
just a sampler. Thx.
