Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Is there a way to go into song mode and record in contronller info in 
a way that it is retained in pattern mode?

If this is not possable this would be a great feature.  I find it is 
a little tedious to go in and record it in pattern by pattern. 

I have heard it said before but I would love to see the knobs remain 
inactive untill passing over the current setting of the knob.  This 
would be super good.
