Very odd!  What OS are you using?  You haven't changed any of the MIDI 
menu settings?

ok im just starting to get the hang of working with my xl-7 but im
noticeing alot of bugs in the os. 

1. eratic behavior  Ex: it will start freaking out in any mode. keep
playing after i hit stop. and sometimes it seems to play two patterns
on top each other

2.not playing the right sounds in song mode when changing from one
pattern to another  EX: CurPat:001 NextPat:002 after changing to
pattern 002 it will play the sounds from pattern 001 in place of 002.
but it keeps my notes the same. just plays the wrong sounds.

i hope someone understands. if not i can try to explain im more detail
