Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

This question gets asked all the time, and I would have to say you should get
the unit then listen to the sounds it has before you buy another rom, I think
you will find that you can make it do all sorts of crazy stuff as is and you can
always pick up the rom later after you work out what you have versus what you
nees that's missing.  You'll find it pretty inspiring as is...

Well, I have finally decided to take the plunge and buy myself an XL-7. As I do
not have unlimited resources, I will be forced to choose one or maybe two roms
to purchase along with the unit. I generally make darker sounding "dance" music,
from electro, to drum n bass, to downtempo ambient style  stuff, whatever
catches my fancy really. My question is, really, what of the expansion ROMS are
your favorites, and why? Which would you recommend for me and why? All the
sudden this sounds like some sort of essay question for an entrance exam!
