Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

hello all, newbie here with a mp-7 and i have it midi'ed to my triton 
classic. And my problem is high and lo volume being produced when i 
hit the pads of the mp-7.   Now I've tried setting the velocity curve 
in global, but its still like a filter like sound being produced.  Is 
there a way to stablize the setting.  Someone please help and thank 
in advance.  Peace
