Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Okay, I have had this thing for like 6 months and I don't have a clue as to 
what I am doing.  I can program simple patterns, that's easy but are they 
songs, I pretty much only use the grid recording.  I have never had any 
musical training in any way, i can't even play an instrument  but i do like 
playing with my xl7 but i have come to a dead lock and have only been messing 
with the same ten patterns that a made the in the first three months that i 
had the damn thing and now i don't know what to do next.  pretty much all i 
do with my patterns is mess with the knobs. so what i was thinking was that 
maybe if some one heard the patterns i made they can give me a few ideas as 
to what to do next... i am just looking for suggestions.
