One of the great thing about the E-Mu samplers is you can buy the lower level Ultra 6400 and upgrade it as your needs and bank account allows to turn it into the big Ultra or Platinum versions. These are the same core components with different options installed and libraries on CD ROM that are or are not included. I would suggest buying the 6400 if your tight on $$$, and your own IDE hard drive as it's typically cheaper than buy the drive from the factory . You may need a kit from e-mu to install the drive, I'm not sure if cable and mounting hardware come with it. You WILL need sone sort of storage device. E-Mu has some refurbished samplers on their web site at great prices. Also, here's a link to e-mu's comparrison chart showing the features of the different models. http://www.emu.com/products/e4xtUltra/ultracomparison.html Havok --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "studio_6512 <studio6512@c...>" < studio6512@c...> wrote: > Ok, now I am exploring which E-mu sampler would compliment the MP- > 7.
