This information is sent out the external out if that,
or 'both' is selected for the track?
I don't seem to be able to get channel program changes
to affect external units. Is there a way to do this?

What about clamourings for:
- track groupings (so switching on one track turns off any
others in it's group)
- 64 bar patterns (especially useful for high bpm
styles)
- force pattern change at end of a chosen number
of bars (0, 1, 2) (you'll really need this with 64 bar
patterns)
- Making the knob wheel require a
confirm to switch tracks, when any changes have been made to the tracks
would have saved me more than one really killer groove. (Currently, you only
confirm when the sequencer is playing)
- Being able to disable the Record button (and any other
editing buttons) would make me feel a lot more secure in a live setting. I've
accidentally hit it several times while practicing, and can only imagine things
being more hectic when I start playing out in a couple of months.
- Would there be any way to group patterns so that
controller and master settings persist between them (so that when you
switch to the next section of a song, the pan/controllor settings remain the
same)? This would make it a lot easier to use patterns together in a live
setting, since you wouldn't have 'jumps' in filters and effects settings between
sections.
- change knob control to volume/pan when those display
pages are selected, or vice versa.
(yes, I'll >never< be satisfied with
anything)
I would prefer a way to control external unit parameters
without performing an event edit, myself.

I know of the glitch, and I have the 1.01 software installed. When you select the pattern, rather than the pattern starting, it sounds like all midi off notes stop being executed until the next pattern is loaded. It's not the same as the 'pause' between the patterns in 1.0
I've also noticed that using the 'cut' command on a
track doesn't deactivate it's 'track light button'. Is there are reason for
this? I've also manage to crash my xl-7 once, using the cut command. I was
cutting tracks while the sequencer was playing - so I could hear what each track
was doing, on a copy of the preset BLUR, copied to a user bank, (I was
taking out the melody tracks to keep the drums). I was on track 12, and the cut
command stopped everything. I had to kill the power to get it back. Foruately, I
had not done much editing other than cutting at that point.

Yes, I'm having a lot of fun with it too :> I've
never used a hardware sequencer before. Cool. (though coolest when used with
software)
