Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi,
Can someone tell me why it is that 6 months later my XL-7 decides 
not to save presets to patterns?  It would save the presets from the 
last pattern to the current pattern.  Even with no midi cables 
attached I can't seem to find a resolution.  EMU tech wants me to 
reset/reinitialize the unit but that will be my last resort.  I have 
a gig in 2 weeks and would totally appreciate any advice.  I have OS 
1.31.
