Yeah, I got into spinning records after I got sick of hauling a car full of gear out to parties every weekend, not to mention the repeated set up and tear down got old fast. Especially when the cops would come ten minutes before my set! :) While I like to spin, you're right it's easy after doing live sets, and to me not as much fun as playing my own music out. Still, a bag of records is TONS easier to deal with :) I like the split/tag-team thing too, my girlfriend spins and at a few parties I would throw some XL-7 stuff over her records, it was a lot of fun just accenting in that regards. rEalm Spinning tables is definately much EASIER than doing a live gig...especially the setup and tear down. Not to mention it's easier to hold a beer and a square while spinning....but it's just not quite as fun...unless of course you have a partner, one on the decks and one on the gear, and then tag team. That's what me and my cohort did for new years eve, fortunately we just broadcasted it online, WAY too much gear to haul on a night like that.
