Cursor to the value field and set the value all the way down past 1. It will register "ext" when you get to the next value. That's all there is to it. This setting is saved as part of a multisetup. Once set the Tempo display will show the tempo of the received MIDI clock. Also the XX-7 will always respond to MIDI control commands like START, STOP, CONTINUE even when it is not set to external tempo unless you explicitly defeat that by setting EXTERNAL SONG START/STOP to "ignored", also on the EDIT MIDI menu. drk www.delora.com/music www.mp3.com/zdrk drk.iuma.com
