And of course as Ravi points out, environment is > key... :) Yes records do sound warmer. I know when I play CD's out they never have the same fullness as vinyl. That being said the Emu stuff does seem pretty warm though. I just think that a properly mixed track, with different compression,eq effects etc.. is going to sound better than just processing the limited outs of an MP7/XL7. But in a live situation with a big system you can get away with more and I'm sure the Command Stations sound fine. I just wound't expect them to sound *better* than records.
