Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I've heard that on the XL-7 (or MP) that you can rout other synths or 
samplers through them, so is it possible to take as SP-505, take it's 
pair of outs, put them through the outs of the xl, and recrod both 
out of the digital output of the XL onto my minidisc?
