You can't "lock" at all the rates when slaved. You need to "lock" it to the MP7/XL7, which will then give you the rate automatically. I'm not sure if the xx7's are 44.1 or 48 but you must have the card locked to the xx7's incoming clock so don't even bother setting the card to one of the available rates. Just setting the soundcard to the same rate as the xx7 won't be good enough. It has to be SLAVED to the xx7.
