I have the "Beat Garden" rom which contains special "stereo" drum 
presets, but those have way too much stereo width, so instead I 
choose to use the mono drums. I prefer mono drum samples in front of 
stereo, but then of course I use lots of panning and reverb 'n stuff, 
which of course makes it sound a bit more "stereo'ish" ...
