E-MU 5 softsampler.

Proteus 2500 & Command Station OS2.0 (whose bugs will be fixed in a late
2003 2.11 release, hopefully - just kidding :)

I'd bet there will also be a keyboard version of the Proteus 2500 and
Command Station line. That kind of workstation seems the next logical
step to me, since the PK/XK/MK/Halo serie appears to be a spin off of
the older Proteus design (64 voices, 16 MIDI parts, no onboard
sequencer) combined with a few features from the newer line (4 SIMM
slots, 1 sub analog out - not 2). That's pure speculation though.

Sure I'd like to see a real killer workstation, combining the Proteus
2500 sequencing, ROM playback and expanding ability with a full fledged
E-4 sampler onboard, RFX, USB card, that sort of things... Merging the
two lines would allow E-MU to have competitive products to face a
Triton, a Motif, or even a K2600AES. But is the market big enough?

It would sure be a perfect 30th anniversary special. :)
