My first approach would be to record the MIDI out of the XX-7 into the host DAW (Cubase SX, ProTools, etc) with the DAW providing the master MIDI clocking to the XX-7 and the DAW recording in multi-channel mode. >>>Two issues (at least in my case). First, the Midi clock out of SX is crap for my use, too sloppy to be any good. Second this method doesn't take into account the changing of effect types in the XX-7, which are critical to the song. Good idea though. <<< Since there is no easy way of to solo a single track in song mode then Iwould suggest an alternative - disabling the actual XX-7 synthesizer channels associated with a track. In EDIT-MIDI scroll until you get to the MIDI ENABLE submenu and simply find each of the channels you are using (01A-16B). Turn those used one's off and turn back on the one (or ones) you need to record for each pass. >>>Doh, virtual handshake for you! :) Excellent solution! <<< rEalm [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
