A few years ago I bought an ESI-32 sampler. A year later they came out with a new bios that gave it the same filters and operating system as the ESI-4000. Back then you did not upgrade bios by loading it up from a disk. First I thought it was great that I could purchase a chip and put it in my sampler to update the bios. Then I thought it was GREAT that Emu did not charge for the chip. Not even shipping. All I had to do was call, give them the information, and watch for the chip and the installation directions to come in the mail. Now I get a letter from Emu telling me the XL-7 that I paid $1250 for the week it came out can now be bought for $200. My first thought was "Great. Maybe I'll trade my P2K for an MP-7." Then I see the offer of $200 off any ROM purchased from Emu for customers that already purchased an XL-7. This is why I like Emu. They never had to do this, but they frequently take care of their customers. With their history of support I never had any worries about future patches to fix any problems with the XL-7. Now my only problem is what to choose? I already ordered the World Expedition ROM from my dealer. I have the Sounds of the ZR installed. Maybe this is my chance to buy one of the Orchestral Sessions ROM's. Then my XL-7 will be complete. Robert Brown Happy Emu customer. Two questions if anyone from Emu is reading. Can the $200 credit be applied to the Protozoa ROM? If so, you can get it for only $50. Will Emu be releasing a command station with the new, faster chip that is going into the P2500? Or, is that the chip that is currently used in the XL-7?
