yeah, it's hard to compare the two. i've owned both and they are 
both great in their own way. the technology of the two are so far 
apart it's hard to make a real comparison. the MP-7 does have 
some nice crusty drum sounds. obviously they are high-quality 
recreations of old dirty 8 bit drum sounds but i was surprised at 
how authentic some of them sound. i think anyone looking for a 
good hip-hop drum workhorse would be very pleased with what 
the MP-7 has to offer. i was and i am.
