All recent SoundBlaster cards run at 48kHz. They will lock to incoming 44.1 however, and sample rate convert it in hardware (a very good quality conversion, too) to 48kHz. S/PDIF is a tough beast for to tame for FCC reasons. It's always a tradeoff between having an extremely crisp signal and radiating too much radio interference. Add to the mix that PCs are not the most electrically quiet devices, and you can get S/PDIF dropout, pops, clicks, etc. Try all the standard things: high-quality cables, moving cables around, trying bad quality cables just for kicks (hey, you never know)... -Aaron PS. I have my SBLive connected to my Kenwood Dolby Digital amp and when I turn on my GAS stove, it stops working. Took a few times to figure out that the spark ignition unit in the stove interferes with the S/PDIF in the other room... __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
