At this stage I am unconvinced that the XL/MP is tight, so what I really want to do is quantify things (especially since E-mu are still working on software releases; if there are timing issues it would be wonderful to get them addressed). > Do the sounds get old? Hard to answer > this one as I program my own. This is an important answer. The XL/MP is a sophisticated synthesiser rather than a simple analogue-modelled beat box, and well worth experimenting with. The programming interface isn't perfect, but it's pretty good compared to some of the boxes out there. -- nick rothwell -- composition, systems, performance -- http://www.cassiel.com
