Ditto, listened to a few of the factory patterns at teh store, then 
deleted them all first thing when I got home :)

Well, or keep them where they are, at hell...
I did never use one of them, begin with easy things like the simple
waveforms and program 
some drums...

You should be able to recover your patterns from the CD that came with
your XL-7.
