Multisetups, ah the joy of multisetups! I think a lot of people are getting them confused with patterns, the two have nothing to do with each other ultimately. A Multi is nothing more than a "snapshot" of all the XX-7's settings at the moment you save the Multi. This included effects, presets, arps, Midi and global settings. When you recall a multi, it will take priority of any Pattern specific settings currently being used, but only until you switch to a new Pattern, or Return the current one (Stop x3). When you turn on the XX-7, it loads up the last multi you used, then it loads up the 000:0 Pattern (I believe, emu correct me if I'm wrong). So you're probably better off not saving a pattern to the very first location to make life easier. That way, when you scroll to the new pattern, it's settings will be loaded and used, and not the multi's. rEalm Ah yes, the all elusive enigma of the multi-setup....it does it to me too...I thought I had it working at one point (ie, patches would be saved to there respctive tracks on seperate patterns, differeing from one pattern to the next) But perhaps I had had a bit to much of the halfling's leaf at that time, because it dosnt seem to work anymore. If this is an 'intentional' issue, as in, it suppossed to work like that, I hope it's something that's taken care of in OS2, because it literally keeps me from using any of the internal sounds all together, it gets way to frustrating. Until then, I'm sticking with my external gear. I had even started working on a track for the 'contest', but ended up giving up in a frustrated rage, since every time I would start the beast back up, I would have different sounds loaded into my tracks!
