Well first read the manual once or twice. It is not your typical gear
manual as it is both clearly written for the most part and informative.

Second, scan the Yahoo message archives. There's a lot of postings, many
with little tips and what-not.

Depending on your overall experience with similar gear you might consider
learning the XX7 in this order:

1. Selecting sounds (especially learn the catalog browsing feature) and how
to do basic editing using the front panel QuickEdit controls.

2. Playing and triggering patterns from the XX7 control surface. Track
muting, basic control features.

3. Basic pattern sequencing with particular attention paid to learning the
grid recording feature.

As needed Arpeggiators, Beats, and control panel triggering of either;
song-mode; "deep" editing of sounds; further study on sequence editing, etc

The main thing is to get oriented to the XX7 before you try to learn its
more advanced or complicated features.

And of course post questions as they occur to you here.

But it all starts with the manual!

Good luck and welcome!
