The easiest and most direct is to have your sequencer send out bank select commands to the MP7. Each sound ROM has its own MSB number and the banks within go from Bank 0 =0 to bank 3 =3 The User bank has a MSB of 0 the XL7 bank has a MSB of 14 The MP7 bank has a MSB of 15 And another method... The XX7 (and other Emu modules) has a preset mapping facility that is set up in the MIDI menu with the screen showing MIDI PROGRAM CHNG (see pages 148-149 in the manual). This lets you specify any incoming program change number and assign it to call up an preset in the XX7, from any bank. So you can quickly organize your 128 favorite presets to be reachable without using bank commands. You could even use this to spoof a General Midi capability if your so inclined ;-) drk www.delora.com/music www.mp3.com/zdrk drk.iuma.com
