I asked my dealer that same question. His reply is that when he asks Emu about the composer ROM they refer him to "Sounds of the ZR". His contact at Emu says the two ROM's are similar enough that they see no need to release the composer ROM as an expansion. I had Sounds of the ZR in my P2K because of the nice piano and moved it to my XL-1 upon purchase. It matches very nicely with the XL-1 ROM. I plan to add the World board to the XL-1 to really expand my possibilities. I have the Techno board in the P2K and hope to put an orchestral board in each device. My goal is to spread related ROM's across the two machines, doubling polyphony and lightening the load on each machine. That way I can do heavy orchestrations or complicated techno passages using the machines in tandem so the midi timing stays tight. --- In xl7@y..., "Jonathan El-Bizri" <sserendipity@n...> wrote: > Sean, > > Does emu have any plans to sell the composer ROM separately at any time? I have one, and I'm very happy with it, but I'm sure others would be interested; electric pianos are sorely lacking from both the dash-7s > > Jonathan
