Hi, My name is Ken, and I will be in the market very soon for a good amount of gear for music production at home. I plan on getting a Emu XL-7 for laying down my beats and rhythms, and using the SU-700 for my sampler. The SU looked like the best choice because of its polyphony, its scsi capabilites, and its touch pads. What do you think about a setup like this ?Im mostly into deep dark breaks, jungle, and dnb or whatever I can come up with. What fx, compression, filters would you recommend other than a distortion pedal (got that covered). Also what ROM expasion would you recommend ? I like realistic orchestra stuff, and synth's (although I perfer making my own :) How ez or hard is the programming of patches, because I know for sure I'll be doing that. When it says 128 polyphony, does that mean 128 voice elements? or 128 voice patches? I don't plan on playing out right away, or anytime soon, I wanna do like the emu website said, and spend some personal time with the units, but I do feel I could take over a small country with these two pieces. Should I get a module like a waldorf micro Q or JP-8000 to cover my sound designing process ? Also, I would most likely by a controller for when I actually needed to play my stuff out. Any recommendations or pointers you have would be great. thanks PS: In case you were wondering for some reason, I own a moog rogue
