Online ordering with a credit card is no more dangerous than using said credit card at a restaurant. Not to mention that by (US) Federal law you are only liable for up to $50 for fruad or stolen credit cards (and numbers) and that I think Visa and Mastercard, etc. advertise that they won't even make you pay that. rEalm was right to point that out here, since advice is solicited and recieved, it is best that the whole picture is painted for such an important part of electronic music--soundcard! This is list for pro musical instruments. The assumption being that the users are pro, semi-pro or at least moving in that direction- they somehow got to a music store or something to get the XX-7, at least. Therefore the same money is FAR better spent on an inexpensive but pro card than a soundblaster, even if one lives in timbuktu (or Libertyville IL. :) ) with a visa card.
