Oh, I also forgot to mention, alot of new PCs
including new Dell equipment is shipped from the
factory with USB disabled in the bios.  I know because
I work on them everyday.  I just went to someone's
house this weekend after hours of them raging over
that their damn external cd burner wouldn't work and
it was a piece of crap....and all they had to do was
check their bios, and sure enough....damn USB function
disabled.  And chances are if they didn't know that it
was disabled in the Bios...they sure as heck didn't do
it.  I see MANY manufacturers ship their MB bios USB
disabled...  I know it IS STUPID...and I don't know
why they do that.
