Well, that's to be expected since you haven't installed the new OS or
USB drivers yet.  You won't have USB functionality until you update the
OS, and to do that, you'll need to use MIDI.  There's a electronic
manual included along with the E-loader application.  You should
probably take a look through that and if you still have problems, I'd
try calling E-mu service.
